The End of 09

So here’s the end of 2009; less than 2 days left. It’s not like I’m counting down the days as if excited for the new year. In fact I’m not that excited for 2010, but I can’t wait to get rid of 2009, which wasn’t such a successful year for me.
I have to admit however, so many things had happened during 2009: I met new friends ( a lot of friends), I had developed my own intelligence and my character, I had met few men and got emotionally involved, and broken my heart, I had learned a lot about life, I had survived a year at the university without failing any course (for some people that is a great achievement).
But still, I didn’t enjoy 2009 as I hoped to. thus I’m not putting my opes up too high for 2010. I just hope it goes well, at least with out any tragedies.
As for the resolutions: no thanks ! I’m done with that, they never work out for me.
And another things I’ve learned: the past is gone, think about the present and a it of the future (maximum 2 months ahead). and never expect too much, for things rae not what they seem.

Depression

What is depression ? people consider it a strong word.
every single person in his life goes through depression and even if he/she lacked nothing and had every kind of happiness in life. But depression is part of nature, its part of being human. the feeling that you have regretted something or the feelings that you’ve missed something. I personally think it’s normal and being depressed doesn’t have to affect the behavior or consequences.
I am in a depression. and I’m absolutely certain that it will pass and it’s just temporary. Other people might not agree with me, and it’s only because they enjoy the fact that they are depressed and they don’t try harder to be happy, maybe not happy but at least content or satisfied. People are too ignorant to believe that they are capable of being depressed and happy. Only they can control it.
Everybody has issues; but instead of whining why don’t we try to fix the circumstances. I’m not talking about totally fixing the circumstances but the notion of trying. as some people say “you’re not trying, you’re whining” and it’s not bad to whine, sometimes you feel like the want to cry and whine, and it does help, but think also about the limits. enough is enough.
Christmas in two days, for goodness sake, let’s be happy and give life a big smile and laugh at our problems.

A week till Christmas

xmas
So only a week left for Christmas. Thats amazing! and I haven’t had the chance to get into the mood or decorate my room, I’ve already listened to the whole “My Christmas” Album by Andrea Bocelli, and it did get me into the mood. This Album by the way is amazing and I recommend it to everybody. I also recommend the Album “Noel” by Josh Groban, its also amazing for this holiday season (even though it came out last year). I know these are classics, but for Christmas nothing n the world beats the classics, and we do need to listen to amazing voices.
We already set and decorated the Christmas tree in our house. But still I don’t feel the spirit around me. I go to the campus and nothing related to Christmas is there (not a Christian country). I have decided just for one week I get myself to do few things that show ow much I’m into the spirit, if I act that I’m into it, I am actually into it.
Any suggestions for what I can do?

Summer plans [part 1]

My holiday started a week ago, when I finished my last exam (which was Introduction to Syntax). And ever since I’m trying to occupy myself with many things to do during this holiday, which is going to last about 3 months (it’s long, isn’t it?).
Here’s the list I’m going to follow during the period of time that I might end up calling “Boredom Living”:
- Look for a damn actual job.
- Look for alternative living for next semester.
- Start working on my schedule for next semester.
- Read more books: finish LOTR trilogy.
- Go to the beach at least 5 times (I was going to write 10, but should start from the lowest numbers)
- Finish the movies I have on the shelf (that I didn’t watch yet)
- Discover more music (depend on my friends with that)
- Get more followers on Twitter by Tweeting more (5 times a day)
- Update this blog more often (more than 3 posts per week)
- Make a list of 50 things to work on.
I was about to add more things, but I have discovered that accomplishing 10 is better than trying to follow 20. So meanwhile I’ll make sure that these 10 actually work and then I’ll write another one.

F***ing Village

Fucking (German pronunciation: [ˈfʊkɪŋ]) is an Austrian village in the municipality of Tarsdorf, in the Innviertel region of western Upper Austria.
The village is located 33 kilometres (21 mi) north of Salzburg, four kilometres (2.5 mi) east of the German border.
The settlement of Fucking has existed since at least 1070 and is named after a man from the 6th century called Focko. “-ing” is an old Germanic suffix indicating the people of the root word to which it is attached; thus Fucking means “(place of) Focko’s people.” The village has a population of 107.
Fucking’s most famous feature is a traffic sign with its name on it, beside which tourists often stop to have their photograph taken. It is a commonly stolen street sign. Significant public funds have been spent on replacing the stolen signs.

My sister was reading the newspaper today and she found about this village, she couldn’t resist telling me about it and I couldn’t resist posting it on facebook and here in this blog. for some reason it made me laught.
They say that tourists don’t actually go inside that village, but rather stand outside of it to take pictures next to it’s sign. If I would ever get the chance to get there, I would definetly go in side it, make a tour and when someone calls and ask where am I, I would dimply say “I’m in a fucking village” which sounds really funny if you think about it.
I never thought that Austria is F***ing interesting.
